ADAS Development and Evaluation Platform

The platform provides standard interfaces to support integration and interchangeability of applications and components. This enables components of the same functionality, e.g. a radar systems measuring distance or a lane departure detection software algorithm, to be easily exchanged, replaced or compared.
The run-time environment of the platform supports real-time recording of vehicle and sensor data flows for the creation of reproducible testing scenarios. These scenarios can be played back within any live or recorded component configuration. Statistical and analysis tools enable the custom or automated evaluation and optimisation of all configurations.

Runtime Environment

The Platform supports two modes of operation. The run-time environment provides real-time data recording of vehicle and sensor data. The off-line mode provides synchronised replay of previously recorded scenarios.

Off-line Mode

The framework provides an off-line mode which can be used to reliably reproduce test scenarios for the comparison of multiple components. It also provides analysis and statistics tools for quality assurance and optimisation. Edinburgh Robotics offers solutions for real-time data-flow capturing on permanent storage devices.
