The platform captures vehicle and sensor data-flows through a standardised real-time
capable interface. All data is automatically synchronised and made accessible at all
times to all applications making dynamic data snapshots of the whole system possible.
Ordered recording of all data enables the capturing of environment data for reproducible
testing scenarios.
Functionality of hardware and software components is captured in modules. Application modules
can be developed in house or by third parties. A module only needs to be developed once and can then
be used in any combination scenario within the platform's framework. The platform supports the development of
software modules.
Software modules provide generic functionality e.g. data fusion, image analysis or computer vision filters to the system. Complete ADAS solutions like active cruise control (ACC) or lane departure warning (LDW) can be developed at lower cost by building on existing functionality provided by this framework. The high performance data network enables instant network transparency, generic hardware support, scalability and generic operating system support.
